Registered our puppy today, online, found the registration process pretty straightforward to be fair. Paid for the life time account, I found no issues with the website and had one question answered within a minute from the online chat lady about the puppy pack card. The breeder had obviously purchased these cards along with the Microchips before the breeding had begun and the validation on the card had expired, not really an issue for a cuddle toy ect
That said I sympathise with the above new owners that found the navigation on the website difficult maybe this has changed? Now. I myself am very happy with the service provided.

I recently rehomed a dog. Not knowing of any details that was on chip.
I put in a request for transfer of ownership cost £19.95 unlimited
Instant transfers. Instant transfer is not 7 days then 6.5.4.3.2.1.q0 days is it
Taken 19.95 out of me to find out that the pet has been reported as missing
Not too my knowledge at the time of paying for the dog
Now dispute of ownership.
Phone calls I get hung up.
Emails they responded twice seek legal advice
Or get intouch with pet keeper too discuss of ownership
How can I when I've not been given the details of person on chip..
Absolutely disgrace of a tracking company...

Absolutely at my wits end. Have tried to contact them by phone and email. They just don’t respond. I’m going to get my dog rechipped and registered to another company. Avoid at all costs as they hopeless. If I could give them a zero rating I would.

Customer service absalute joke.
Sent 5 emails not one response
Rang twice on for 48 minutes still not answered
Contact number for smartbreeder is same number for smarttrace
Also it comes up as a mobile transfer to bodmin
I am now taking further action

Appalling company, free puppy pack just doesn’t arrive despite paying postage. Going to get my dog chipped with a reliable vet as can’t trust this shower. Going to trading standards now. Stay away from them. If I Could give them no stars I would.

If I could give minus stars I would they are the worst company I have ever dealt with do not do the microchip course or the scanning course please avoid anything to do with this company it a shame I had to give them 1 star AVOIDE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Registered 3 puppies in a year with this company,no puppy pack for any of them. Absolutely rubbish company,leaving no stars isn't an option,otherwise I would.

I can assure you we do not have a scam going on and we have been a DEFRA approved UK database for 10 years. I am unsure as to what has given you this impression however I can confirm it is un true.
As it stands the microchip is registered as lost or stolen and no database should upload a microchip to their system with the consent of the database that currently holds the microchip. This could cause problems when if the pet was to go missing.
As we have not authorised this I will be in contact with identibase to request the remove as I have not yet had a responce from the current registered keeper on this microchip.

Impossible to get the 'free' puppy pack. Every time I enter my microchip code it takes me to a form where I'm prompted to edit my contact details and buy an unlimited plan for £19.95 in order to get the pack. If I have to buy a plan then it's not a free puppy pack is it?

We picked up our puppy on the 5th March and the breeder had already chipped her. Went onto website to register her and the date of birth section only went to 2021 (our pup was born in Jan 22), so decided to contact them to see how I could register her correctly.
After over a week of calling them and being on hold for hours, calling other options in the hope that another dept would pick up and transfer us, and emailing them 3 times as the message said emails answered in an hour, no reply.
If it hadn't been for this I would be totally unaware of how bad their service is and god help us if she ever gets lost as how is anyone ever going to get to speak to them to get the owners details.

Waste of space. Going to have him re-chipped at the vets we use and know that he will be chipped. Unbale to transfer online, no one answers the phone.

Did all they asked . Paid the £19.95 but just wanted to make sure my dog is registered .Couldn’t figure it out but phoned and no body answered so I hung up x it’s very confusing ,

same as the above, pay the money, get nothing for it.
Complete waste of time and money, if you are thinking about using this shower, dont bother, go to your vets and do it that way because if they cant be bothered at this stage what are you going to get if your pet goes missing?????

Website is absolutely atrocious. I bought my puppy in England and brought him over to Germany and it's been a nightmare trying to get the website to accept European details - despite it being a European database.
Had to ring them and pay the £19.95 over the phone so lost the ability to save £2, despite reviewing them twice (offer online). Have to say though, the call centre answered my phone and was nice enough to solve my problem - although the account looks locked now while the money goes through. Despite it still being my email and name on the account, it's locked?? I have no idea.
Also couldn't get a hold of any puppy pack. Would double chip but I'm not taking the risk of having any chip outdated if he gets lost.

My puppy was chipped by the breeder and my details were put in ,that was a month ago but still waiting for the puppy pack and the and I can't seem to find an email address on the website. It says to go to my account but still nothing

Avoid at all costs my pups microchip was with them I registered paid £19.95
it said it was transferring on 7 days then it went to 0 days then 2 days now it's on 6 days despite emailing them I have never had the service I paid for beginning to wonder if our dogs ever did get lost would they even know or care or correspond with anyone !!! Not Amused and not sure if I should get my dog re chipped with my local vets told them I'm not happy with them + do not have the service I paid for even although it says its free to register Im thinking of contacting the trading standards.

Purchased puppy already chipped, when registering puppy a further charge was incurred. No advise on web site regarding breeder registering for free. Spoke to customer services (took two days to answer phone) basically stated because breeder did nt input details extra charges stand. Operator implied my fault not theirs. Could nt take a formal complaint over the phone. Poor service flippant response.

Going round the houses with them right now. Couldn’t find the option to register the chip so clicked transfer option which told me chip not registered click here. I end up being told to pay £19.95 so I clicking the little i for info which then said there’s a £9.95 option. Then looked and said should be free and confirmation says could take 7 days for transfer to complete. I’m thinking but I clicked register as who is it being transferred to really? Decide to apply for the ‘free’ puppy pack which I can’t claim because not registered. Can only find an 0844 number to call (how much will that be), then get told I need the £19.95 option for the puppy pack but if breeder had registered the chip it would have been free for both of us. Absolute joke of a company.
