This is the worst experience I ever had at a dating site! I found an advert on our local newspaper about local­com­pa­nions.co.uk. It was unbelievably easy to join and free to send messages. Very soon, I realised that it is very different from other normal dating sites.
1. Many people were just looking for flings, casual retionships. So, if you are looking for serious relatinships, go for proper dating sites to save your time and hustle;
2. A well known problem in dating sites are scams and cheaters, it is especially so in local­com­pa­nions.co.uk (other members I spoke to experienced these as well);
3. One hour after I amended my profile to say scammers and cheaters alike don't bother to contact me, my account was barred. I sent email to contact the company to ask why, but there was no reply.
I suppose it was because I mentioned about the scammers and cheaters. Why the website can have its own terms and conditions and the users cannot have their own crieria when they choose life changing significant others? Especially when the problem is so well known? There is no free speech, there is no working ethics for the site, there is no warnings about member safety.
Mostly, it provided a perfect medium for people who cheat their partners!
