Admirals Table. Bridgwater. Somerset. 15/07/2020. Mac n Cheese. £10.75. I thought it was a childs portion. No butter for the garlic bread. Side salad? 8oz gammon steak. £11.25. Chips, egg and 1/2 a tomato, OK. Pineapple as tough as the gammon. Never had a tough slice of pineapple before! The peas appeared to be uncooked. As said, the gammon was tough. I gave it to my partner, who was still hungry! Marstons will have to do without me from now on.

Just been to sunverge Rhyl, on my own & craving a roast dinner I didn't cook, was around 3pm & extremely quiet, I was served at the bar immediately by a polite young man, ordered a small carvery & directed to it. When I went up there was no one around, a young lady shouted for the carver, I had beef which looked quite dry, he offered Yorkshire pud & gave me the flattest 1 in dish! Which he picked out with his hand. (Really I should have asked for a different one) I added all my veg & roasties which looked fine then went over to add gravy, there wasn't a lot left but enough, no steam came out when I lifted the lid so I put a drop on side of my plate & tasted to my disappointment it was cold! I asked the server if he had any hot gravy (I apologised for pointing out it was cold

Looking for a fabulous meal then head to the Bellflower. Just had the most amazing dinner, served by the very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble (always one fussy eating in the group) great family atmosphere. Entertaining the little ones was second to none. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend the Bellflower enough. Thank you for your wonderful service and amazing food

We visited the wagtail at wincanton today, the only beer on tap was pedigree which tasted watered down. The meal arrive in record time which leads me to believe it was already plated and warmed in the microwave as a few minutes into eating the food it was cold,
When mention this to the server he acknowledged it but did not apologise ,
Not sure which was colder the meal or ice cream for pudding.

On the first night we had a lovely double room on the ground floor. On the second night we had two single rooms 2 floors up. Although the single room was pleasant for a single room it was freezing cold and cost too much - The double room we had on Friday night was £70 and the single rooms on Saturday night were £105 each.

Before I went out for dinner in town I turned the radiator on when I came back in - although the radiator was on 5 - it felt like 1 - the room hadn’t heated up at all and I was freezing. Then the heating went off so I slept in my pyjamas, jumper, socks and dressing gown.

I woke around 1.30am freezing cold breathing in freezing cold air, I turned the radiator on again but it didn’t heat up so the thermostat had been switched off. Management later said I should have called them - in the middle of the night do I really have to do that? Why didn’t they just keep the thermostat on so guests could keep their rooms warm themselves.

By the time the heating came back on again in the morning I had barely slept at all and I had had enough - I just wanted to leave, and was so cold I didn’t even shower which I usually do in the mornings. The same for my mum in the other single room, it was freezing. My nose, feet and hands were like ice. We had planned on eating breakfast here but decided to go elsewhere after our terrible night.

Note to management - guests should be able to decide the temperature in their rooms - especially now it’s autumn and the nights are colder. There was also no soap in the bathroom and the attic door on the ceiling was slightly open which made me feel worried all night. The hotel bar closes at 10pm which is way too early for a weekend, we had to go out into town when we didn’t really want to and when a drink at the hotel would’ve been easier and much more comfortable for guests.

After complaining Marston’s Inns Beth from help raise the bar offered me vouchers for a meal - I declined these as how can a meal compensate for a miserable nights stay? Terrible customer service.

Drove from Bristol Today had lunch at the Landing Light in Beaufighter Rd, Weston Supermare. . Sarah was there to greet us as I missed my Mother-in-law Birthday so thought we try here. After Sarah seated us, she explained David would be over to take our orders., Well what can I say Such a friendly Smart guy, he couldn’t do enough for us all. I watched him manage 7 tables and more, he even took Pics Sarah too. They both work very hard together as a team. Also what I liked we were seated away from all the family’s and kids so was very special today both Sarah David brilliant. Didn’t get to see Manager??, def pop back soon. Food was really fresh and served hot and fresh. So thank you Sarah and David for all your help. Xx

Dined at Stepping Stones in Ashbourne. A small but annoying thing was that we ordered the beef and the pork Sunday lunches. On the menu it stated the former had horseradish sauce and the latter, apple sauce. Neither of which were served with the meals. We requested the horseradish and it was supplied in a tiny dish. When jokingly we asked what had happened to the apple sauce, we were told that we should have asked for it.
I pointed out that, like the pork or beef, it was shown on the menu. We did not have to ask for the meats, they were there. I was then told that if the sauces were served on the plates people did not use them and they would be thrown away.
A simple answer is to not show the sauces as part of the meal and get the staff to offer them when they are serving.

I recently stayed at the Wynnstay Inn at Wrexham. I found my stay to be quite enjoyable experience. I had most of my meals at the hotel which was well served Hot and enjoyable .The hospitality was second to none On the Friday night I had an issue with the heating in my room which was the alleviated by the most helpfull staff of the Hotel where they went up and beond duty to make sure I was warm in my room.
I would certainly recommend staying at this establishment and I can assure that if I am in the area again I certainly will stay there.
Many thanks to Coral and the staff at the hotel.

The two of us had a great catch up at the Longshore in Shoreham.
We were greeted with a cheerful attitude and asked where we would like to sit... We took menus and were seated … Sufficient time was given to us to peruse and then order .... Superb service … The light food we had was attractively presented and tasted good . Our drinks were served in sparkling glasses.... We were not hustled .. James and co did well.. We shall now always meet up at this establishment... Thank you for a delightful visit .

On Saturday 25th February 2022 my wife and I booked for lunch at 12 noon. Although we arrived 15 minutes early we were promptly booked in and shown to our table. Unfortunately it was down hill from there on. We ordered a tea and coffee. We were seated in full view as to the area this was being prepared. The beverages were made and but on a serving tray and then left for about 10 minutes while other customers orders were being dealt with! We ordered two soups for starters these were served not together but about 20 minutes apart. No explanation was offered as to the delay however We did get a refund for one soup. There was an appreciable delay in the main course being served however the food was good once served. All through this the serving staff seemed lethargic and not managed very well. They did seem to engage with the customers. On the whole not a very good experience and would think twice before coming again!

Visited the British Oak Stallings Lane today for a lunch time meal. The staff were not really interested in the service provided. However mistakes were corrected. the 40 minute waiting time for the meal was really unacceptable for a very quiet restaurant. The meal when it did arrive was very unsatisfactory.
Chips stale and reheated, eggs very hard solid yolks, coffee nearly cold the apple pie which had to be chased up was not heated correctly and the custard very lumpy. to be honest the meal and service was the worst we have experienced for at least 10 years.

Went to the plough and Harrow today. Food was ok. Curry Wednesday but some not available???
The main moan is the cleanliness. The female toilets were disgusting!!!!!!!
The last time we came of the 6 toilet cubicles 4 were locked 1 had no toilet seat and the other was blocked. Today… 6 were open but 4 of them were blocked or covered in poo!!! Does this pub have no cleaner?? There seemed to be so many staff.. isn’t anyone actually checking?? So disappointed

Visited the white willow in Bridgwater with my 2 daughters on 21/2/22. This is the second time we have been and have been served by the lovely Bronwyn.
My daughter is autistic and struggles with food. Bronwyn goes above and beyond to change my daughters order so she is able to eat it. This really changes eating out for us, as it can be difficult.
She is an absolute credit to the team

Difficult to order as most meals unavailable. Dronks also not avaiable. Long wait for over an hour in a quiet resteraunt for quite simple meals.
Not a good venue at all, second time in 2 weeks we've experienced this service here.

We visited the Talardy Marston's in Llanelwy last week for lunch, purely on the off chance. It must be 30 years since my last visit.
What a cosy welcoming place.
The staff were all very professional and friendly.
Service was prompt and efficient without being intrusive.
The food was plentiful and the salads super fresh and delicious.
Our waiter, Stevie, was an absolute delight, polite, warm and immaculately presented.
My daughter and I will be visiting again, soon.
I would highly recommend this clean, cosy and comfortable Inn, so conveniently located just off the A55 in St Asaph.

Pub Code:6647

My friend and I sat at table 19 at the Old Vicarage Pub yesterday.(13th Feb).
We arrived a bit early but was warmly welcomed and shown to our table.
We were advised by our waitress if we wanted to order the Roast Beef dinner we needed to order it straight away, which we did. She also asked us if we wanted the Cauliflower Cheese as that was extra. Our meals were delicious and came out piping hot, and the cauliflower cheese was lovely. We also had a Smoffle Dessert and that was delicious also. The food together with the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff I would highly recommend this pub to any of my friends.

Have not been to The Running Horse for some time, due to the pandemic and getting the blasted Covid - twice! The last time we went as wanted to check it out having previously vowed never to go back again. Pleased to advise that the same standard of service was present as was the food, which was very good, especially the starters, although to be fair the choice there was a little limited if I recall from the previous time. An excellent quantity of serving, so much so that I did have a problem finishing my very nice sirloin steak. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a really nice relaxed evening. It seems Donna is keeping a good eye on the place still which is a credit to her.

Went to the Smugglers Cove Clacton today for Sunday carvery. Bethany who served us was very pleasant, we didn't have to wait long for our meal to be ordered, the carvery which we have had before was very good with good selection of vegetables. Ordered just one dessert the jam roll poly, glad we did was enough for two to share. Good value for money especially with the 30% off the mains.

Visited the Pine Martin at Dunbar Saturday 29th had a lovely meal everyone quite attentive but unfortunately we were given seemly the wrong menu being the Christmas menu and the two items we weren’t told were not available so had to rethink what to have, but I think you should have separate areas when customers have animals and all animals should be under strict control and Not left to wander around the restaurant willy nilly

One suggestions, one of our party chose lamb shank which you did not have so had to re select relatively quickly, if that had been communicated when the menus were given out would have given the person more time

Visited poppy fields maidstone. Sadly it was the second time in just over a month this restaurant's rotisserie had no chicken at 7.30 in the evening The first occasion there had been no delivery, and we weren't told until after our starters that our chicken order had gone to someone else . This time they had no chicken as a referb was taking place in a few days time. The meal was ordered from what was available on the menu and arrived minus a side salad, that had been ordered. There was no one about to ask about this . Towards the end of this course a waitress asked if we had the salad, and asked if we wanted it now . We just said at this point, not to bother the main course was almost finished. We requested dessert and after a short time we were told they had no vegan ice-cream. After thirty minutes waiting for the other dessert none had arrived. We managed to catch the eye of a waitress and explained what had happened, and to ask just to have the bill. The bill was promptly delivered but with the dessert was still included on the bill. We asked for this to be removed as we had already explained that there had been no dessert. The waitress needed to get permission to take the item off first. I will say this has made for a less than good dining experience. Instead of feeling relaxed and happy, we left feeling sadly frustrated and annoyed, at the extremely poor service.
I asked if it would be better to ring, if I ever go back again, to see if a they have rotisserie chicken available . The staff member agreed that would be a good idea. What a joke.

Sand Martin Code ;-92047

My husband and I went to the Sand Martin this afternoon on the off chance. We were met by a young gentleman who asked if we had made a booking to which I replied No. There wasn't any problem. We were shown to an area which we had all by ourselves. Strict Covid procedures were carried out. Plenty of hand sanitising was all around the place.
We were asked if we wanted any drinks. My husband had a lager shandy and I asked for a cup of tea. These were brought promptly and I had a hissy fit. My pet hate is having a cup of tea with a teabag in the cup!!! The gentleman apologised and swiftly removed the offending teabag and took it away.
As regards to the meal, it was fabulous. My husband had a steak meal whereas I had Tikka Massala for a change. The Tikka Massala was absolutely fabulous. I even mopped up the plate with the Naan Bread. Well done Sand Martin for such an enjoyable meal.

We visited Pen Y Bont Farm pub (Mold) on 27.11.2021 at about 16.30pm. It was busy but, despite not having booked, were given a table on condition we left by 18.30 - a perfectly reasonable request - and warned that food ordering might take some time. It didnt! We had a starter and then a salmon hollandaise and a chicken Tikka Masala plus two pints bitter. We were served by three different people (Kura, Pete and Eloise) in a charming and professional manner and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The only downside is that we live 6 hours away!

Today my husband and I visited the New Crown, South Shields for a Christmas fayre lunch. The table was very festive and included a cracker each.
I had pate, turkey and the Belgian chocolate and raspberry truffle and hubby had the turkey followed by the cheese board.
We were served by the very pleasant, delightful Stacey and Lauren who between them were very attentive. Everything was spot on and my hubby and I thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Tuesday 16/11/21 had a wonderful lunch at Newhall Farm Cannock. My wife has to have gluten free food, Becky & Beth served us, it was no problem to provide steamed fish in stead of battered. Wonderful atmosphere very welcoming, very helpful, felt we could stay all day it was so relaxing.

I would like to thank Ashley at the Greyhound Inn at Higham Derbyshire
Her service was excellent and her helpful attentive service really contributed to a pleasant dining experience
I understand she is new to your team and I feel she will be a real asset to you.
We dined 9th of November 2021 and will definitely come again
The food was excellent

We visited Holly Blue, Hailsham Road, Stone Cross on Sunday, 7 November, with 2 family members. On entering sanitiser was empty by front door, we mentioned it to "greeter" who seemed disinterested (not impressed as very important). Not booked so he put us in the darkest corner he could find as he said Sundays were busy (plenty of spaces at midday). Only carvery available, plates were cold, and, quite frankly, food not very good (carrots very odd taste). Our visitors left most of their food and were unimpressed. Have been to Holly Blue many times in past but this visit will definitely be our last. Couldn't wait to leave.

She is not just efficient but very pleasant too. We wIll not hesitate to go back and recommend the restaurant to our friends and family. We are so pleased with our visit thaT we are booking for boxing day today.

Just been to the oyster bed at whitstable not impressed at all . Our waitress Victoria was brilliant rushed off her feet as not enough staff waited a while for meals . Starters were taken by a new member of staff and when it was pointed out we had 2 sharing chicken goujons she said that was fine until they arrived to have 3 shared between 2 people the manager came and pointed out that we had made a mistake not them and that was what you got . Then came main meals 3 dinners perfect 1 not so . Had asked for a burger with no cheese or bacon just salad . Again they got it wrong plain burger no salad no sauce and no coleslaw . The manager took the plate back, but not very graciously. Victoria came and apologised profusely. Have used this venue for birthdays and also quiet dinners but not anymore we will not return .

Have to endorse the fall in standards of the Oyster Bed. One waitress for the whole place, although she assured us the kitchen was fully staffed. Two meals good but the other two were warm with under cooked veg. and although we were asked if we wished to change the order as we had already waited for over half an hour for our meals and our two friends had stated eating we declined. Less than impressed. Used to be a joy to eat there, no longer!.

Today 5.11.22 I was paying for two meals at the White Harte public House in Kinver when I remembered that I had a code for 30% off on my phone which was at my table. I was told that I should have mentioned it before I ordered. Is this correct. I did not receive a receipt. It was my first time visiting this pub. It was rather annoying. The quality of the food was poor. We had to ask for the bread and butter that was part of the meal.
I had visited the Morton Arms in Wolverhampton earlier in the week and had no problem when I produced when I was paying. I've been visiting this pub quite frequently and the quality of the food is far superior.

The Old Colonial in Weston -super -mare should be called a restouWANT]
Because it's everything you could want dining out. Adam and all the team do an AMAZING job. I had my first ever meal here in May and have been fortunate to go back many times,Since that first meal out in 51 years I have also had the not so great experience I have here every single time, The bar and restaurant are always spotless.every member of the team - and they really are a team - are always professional and friendly. Theres a genuine warmth here I havenot encountered anywhere else and it's always a treat here like a big hug. Normally in reviews people put what they didn't like.my review would be short if I had to do that - nothing. Thankyou Old colonial.
looking forward to seeing you soon old man

Went to the tawny owl, fernwood, Newark, on Tuesday 19th October with the wife and two other couples. Meals and drinks were spot on, not too long to wait and very nice for the price. Would go again.

On Tuesday 19 Oct we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at the Pen Y Bont, in Mold, with 18 Family members and friends. We had booked tables in a quiet corner of the venue. From the moment we booked and throughout the evening we received the kind of service one would expect in a 5 star Hotel.
We were served by Faye who gave us personal, caring and professional service. Faye and her team were constantly checking to make sure everything was to our requirements. The food was faultless and enjoyed by all our guests. Thank you to all at the Pen Y Bont for making our party a memorable and enjoyable experience. We will be back
