I bought some beech hedging plants from Beechwood , half were OK but the other half were thin and weedy with little root. Needless to say the weedy ones all died. I requested some replacements and they didn't reply but just blocked me

I ordered a Discovery Apple Tree from 3Fatpigs through amazon. It has turned out to be a completely different—and very unappetizing looking—kind of apple tree. Useless.

The worse customer service and products. I would warn anyone away from this company as they scam people in selling falsely described plants and trees. Also you will experience the worse customer service. If your plant turns up damaged, or not as described. You like I did would be told that you have to pay to send it back to them. Trust me…DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Unless you like throwing money away.

I purchased 50 hawthorn trees via eBay. They arrived 10 February and I planted them by March 1st. I wrote to them on 6 April that they showed no signs of life, again on 29 April, and was told that the plants were 'dormant' and I should be patient. On 20th May, I asked for a refund as they all appeared to be dead. I was told I was an idiot to have planted them where I did (in the ground amongst grass) and that there is no refund for incompetence! Buy here at your peril. They take your money and sell you rubbish and insult you into the bargain. Avoid

Plant was an extremely poor twig with dead buds when eventually arrived. Sent photo to Beechwood customer service who replied that this was a good healthy plant. Apart from clearly being blind the attitude was not helpful or friendly. I will never use this supplier again and would not recommend that anyone else does.
I understand the vagaries of sending plants by post but I think the attitude and service shown here was extremely poor.

Received a tree with 3 branches - one of which had a pre-exisiting wound and was damaged before leaving the Nursery. I was advised to remove it.. rendering it completely useless as now it won't stand up, let alone bare fruit.
Unbelievably unhelpful customer service. I advise you read as many reviews as possible from sites, before ordering, as there are MANY customer's in the same boat. You'd be far better off planting your money and hoping for a money tree.

Worst Amazon experience of my life! Ordered 10 hedging plants back in January, they arrived in a tiny box. Packed with soil and hay. All broken and mangled with jagged pieces of plastic everywhere and broken plants. Who wraps plants this way? Insanity!! Took photos and discarded the box because the plants and packaging were in such bad condition that it rendered them useless. Got in touch with the owner who replied saying that I hadn’t even opened the box, but the photos quite clearly showed that I had. Weird mind games! I replied again saying that I clearly had and that the photos proved this and he replied saying that if I didn’t like it I could send it back. I then said that I couldn’t send it back because it had been thrown away due to its condition. He then said that he wouldn’t refund until it was returned. I then got in touch with Amazon and spoke to 7 reps in depth about this, who put a claim in for me. One of the procedures of this process is that the claim can be halted if the seller responds to the buyer. Which he did BUT replied with something that had nothing to do with my claim, about VAT invoices. He did this because it would show on Amazon’s end that he had replied, effectively ticking a box and pushing this further into the long grass. I told Amazon reps about this and they even thought it was strange and could empathise with my frustration. I replied back to the seller telling him that I want a refund as he was going against the consumer rights act supplying products that are so damaged. He replied with- “stop making up false srories saying the order was damaged beyond repair because that is fraud.” ..calling me a fraudster is a joke considering what he’s doing! Eventually I was told by Amazon that the seller refuses and that there is unfortunately nothing that they can do, as it’s a third party seller. Moral of the story, do not trust this company!! I’m going to trading standards next. They shouldn’t be allowed to sell such bad quality products and they have such a crafty way of going about things. Terrible customer service!! BUYER BEWARE! Don’t risk it.

Brought a plant from them on eBay the plant looked a bit ruff planted it as was in post a few days. It was dead in about 10 days. Contacted them that asked for pictures. I sent them. They said they did not get them. So sent again. Then they asked me questions about it. Each time I replied. By this time 30day Guarantee was up. They just said why should they replace plant as was ok when sent. was all messaging just a delaying tactic.

THE BELOW IS A CHAIN OF EVENTS THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AND 6/7 MONTHS LATER I AM STILL EXPERIENCING FROM THIS COMPANY. I'M GOING TO SPEAK TO A SOLICITOR RE: THEIR THREATS AN ABUSIVE EMAILS. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

Shocking company...

(Original purchase 1st of June 2019 and payment taken from my bank on the 3rd. This has been updated today 27th of November 2019 as 3fatpigs (Beechwood Nurseries) are still hassling me)

I have been asked by Trustpilot to edit my review and remove any offensive language. Having just re-read my review I'm confident the only bad language used was from 3fatpigs which I reiterated. However as requested I've now removed this reference.

So.......
I'm not a business just a customer that paid £24-99 for a Granny Smiths tree from these people.

I purchased this tree just over a week ago and when it arrived it looked almost dead. The leaves were brown, it was spindly and the way it was shipped was shocking (although I don't know a better way to ship trees myself) It was a pathetic specimen and nothing like the picture in the advert portrayed. I realise there's always a difference between advertising and the actual item but really......

Anyway we planted it on the day we received it and kept our fingers crossed. Within 48hrs the tree started to display black spots as well so we got someone to look at it and they confirmed it had a fungus infection so we spent more money to try and save/treat it.

I contacted 3fatpigs (T/A Beechwood Nurseries) by email and got a response back within 24hrs. I was told to forward a photograph to them. This I immediately did and they responded telling me there was nothing wrong, there was no black spots, they have their stock regularly checked and basically giving the "go away" vibe.

So I now have a tree that we are trying to save, I've had to purchase treatments for this tree and I paid £24-99 for the pleasure.

Adding insult to injury 3fatpigs sent me an email asking me to review the transaction with them so I answered honestly and politely but didn't pull any punches. After vetting the review they failed to print it....what a surprise.

Due to the lies its important to point out I have proof of purchase, shipping documents, contact with 3fatpigs and a copy of the bad language they used on me.

I'm obviously not going to get my money back now and neither are the other reviewers that have had a bad experience with this company. My suggestion is avoid them.

UPDATE
Its now late November 2019 and although my original review was removed while I evidenced my claim to Trustpilot its clearly not enough for this seller.
I have received an email via Trustpilots messaging service today "threatening" legal action as they say they can't find any purchase details from me on their system even though they acknowledged my initial complaint and again they claim the review is false even though I've previously evidenced everything I've been asked to do.
I suggest they speak to Trustpilot in the first instance as Trustpilot have all the proof of purchase hence the review was re-instated and is now live again.
I have just traced the purchase details from my on line banking so I suggest 3fatpigs go ahead and issue a claim. It'll only cost them money for my expenses and a carers attendance fee. Common sense says that if they have my address to send the claim to then I must have made the purchase in the first place !!!
I've now forwarded the new threats to Trustpilot and also attached below a basic print-off of my online banking showing the details of the transaction. Please note 3fatpigs trade as "Beechwood Nurseries" hence the payment is in that name.

Bought a tree that was described as 4-5ft, graceful and spreading. What arrived was a 7.5ft stick no wider than my finger with some roots at the bottom, no branches! Having taken advice from the Royal Horticultural Society I contacted the company and this was an email I received in response "The tree you purchased is as described, so stop telling a load of lies and send it back if you don’t like it" and a refusal to cover the return postage. Wow, one of those companies.
Luckily I had the sense to purchase through PayPal who found in my favour and refunded the full amount.

I have just had to send proof of my purchase to another online review site after this company reported my review as false (easily proven with an order confirmation and an email thread showing the above quote) along with several others. It seems every non 5* review on there had been reported by the company as being false!
